First, with the aid of 3-D computer technology, Dr. Setiady will form clear aligners that are custom fit to your teeth. You wear the first aligner for about two weeks, removing it only to eat, brush or floss. Then, after your teeth have gradually shifted, you will move on to the next aligner. You repeat this process until your teeth have aligned into the desired position. The treatment time averages nine to 15 months, and during that time, you'll wear between 18 and 30 different aligners (the exact number varies by case.)
