Non-Metal Fillings

Beautiful back teeth! Have you ever noticed a bright attractive smile only to be distracted by the black fillings in the person's back teeth? The mercury-amalgam fillings of the past (sometimes referred to as silver-mercury fillings) expand and contract with heat and cold, which can over time cause toothaches, sensitivity, biting pain and even frequently broken teeth! Being proactive and restoring old worn out mercury-fillings before problems occur is the best and easiest way to keep your teeth beautiful, healthy, strong and pain-free!

Crowns

Crowns are a type of dental restoration which, when cemented into place, fully cup over the portion of a tooth which lies at and above the gum line. Crowns encase the entire visible aspect of a tooth. A dental crown in effect becomes the tooth's new outer surface.

Bridges

A Bridge is a custom device anchored to neighboring teeth that replaces missing teeth. When a lost tooth is replaced with bridgework, the teeth on either side of the missing tooth are prepared as crowns to serve as abutments to hold the prosthetic (replacement) tooth in place. Crowns and bridges are most commonly made from high quality materials such as semiprecious or precious metals, porcelain, or a fused combination of the two. Aesthetics, function, and tissue compatibility are considered when selecting the material most suitable for you.

Inlays and Onlays

Onlays and inlays make it possible to replace outdated unsightly silver fillings with new beautiful tooth-colored restorations, designed perfectly to match your own natural teeth. With onlay or inlay technology we can create porcelain restorations that revive your natural strength, wear, function and appearance. With these new materials, it is possible to bond teeth back together, virtually restoring them back to their original strength without any invasive techniques.

Implants

If you are missing one or more teeth, you'll want replacements that are as natural feeling and looking as possible. If dentures don't work for you, Dr. Setiady may consider dental implants. Unlike dentures, which are removeable, implants are permanently anchored into the jaw itself.

Generally, Dr. Setiady considers you as a good candidate for implants if you have jawbone ridges that are in good shape and have healthy oral tissues. When the implant device is inserted into the jaw, a chemical and mechanical bond is formed. The jawbone actually grows into the implant.

With implants, you get a perfect fit, and they will look and feel as good as (or even better than!) your original teeth.
